DanceSite is the annual regional showcase for Artback NT’s Indigenous Traditional Dance Program (ITDP).
DanceSite celebrates the diversity of Indigenous culture in Australia and gives performers an opportunity to gather and share their stories which maintains their unique heritage by passing on the dances and songs of country to younger generations.
Renita was the Coordinator for this program from 2009 – 2012 and during that time facilitated more than 60 cultural maintenance workshops where inter-generational transfer of traditional dances and songs were completed.
From 2008-2009, the DanceSite was hosted by the Arrente people of Alice Springs (Mparntwe); in partnership with Desart. Invited artists included:

From 2010-2012, the DanceSite was hosted by the Warumungu people of Tennant Creek (Patta); in partnership with Nyinka Nyunyu Cultural Centre and Barkly Regional Arts. Invited artists included:

In 2013, the DanceSite moved to Borroloola to be hosted by the Yanyuwa and Mara in partnership with Mabunji AC until 2015.
